How we make money
The short version is the disclosure you'll see next to every quote button on this site:
This site is informational first: the sizing guides and dimensions cost nothing to read, no matter what you decide to build. A quote request only starts if you use the Get Quotes button, and that hands off to an outside matching partner, not to any tile or shower business shown on the page. The partner compensates us when a request becomes work it can act on. No listed business pays us anything, ever, for its spot here, whether that spot traces back to a license or a Google rating. In most cities, listings reflect public license records, not paid ads; where a city has no license record on file here, a listing instead reflects a business's Google rating and review count, also never a paid ad. Either way, the business a partner eventually lines up may differ from the one whose card caught your eye.
Money flows one way: from a matching partner to us, triggered only by a Get Quotes request that turns into real work. Tile and shower businesses on this site never pay for placement, a category, or anything else.
The sizing charts, code citations and standards references throughout this site aren't paid content from any manufacturer or association. Each one links to where we found it.
The quote button
Pages with listings also carry a quote button. It opens a quote request run by our matching partners, not by the businesses listed on the page. When you ask for quotes through it, a partner may pay us. That is how we pay for running this site.
The partner decides which companies to match you with, so the companies that contact you may not be the ones listed on the page you came from. Before you hire anyone, check their license the same way you would check a listed business.
What it costs you
Using Walk-In Shower Remodel costs homeowners nothing. You don't pay us for listings, lookups or quote requests.
What money doesn't change
- Listings come from state license records or, on top-rated lists, from Google Maps ratings. No business pays to be listed, to be left off, or for its position.
- License listings are sorted alphabetically. Top-rated lists are ranked only by Google rating and review count.
- There are no paid placements today. If we add any, they will be marked Sponsored.
- Verify license links go only to the state's license registry, never to a partner.
How to tell the links apart
Quote buttons always sit in a box with the disclosure above, and they are marked as sponsored links in the page code (rel="sponsored"). Every other outbound link on the site goes to an official license record, a business's Google Maps listing, or a source we cite.
