Before you commit to a layout
- What are the exact interior dimensions of the shower once tile is on, not the framed opening before it?
- If it's curbless, how much will the subfloor be recessed, and does that affect the joists?
- If it's doorless, how much depth is planned to contain spray, and where does water exit toward the drain?
- Is the drain a point drain or a linear drain, and does that change the recess or slope plan?
- If glass is involved, is it framed or frameless, and is it tempered to meet the safety-glazing rule?
- Will grab bar blocking go in now even if a bar isn't mounted immediately?
